The most famous of all antique natural history prints are The Birds of America by James Audubon. The large prints are double elephant folio size - over three feet high and cost thousand of dollars each. The complete collection of prints in bound book format sold at auction for over $10 million.

The original Game Fishes of the United States was completed by Samuel Kilbourne in 1881 and became the most popular series of prints on American salt water and fresh water game fishes.
